"Ciara is in talks with discount department store, Steve & Barry's, to create an affordable clothing line that incorporates her personal style.
I have a couple of cool things that I'm working on," says Ciara. "The coolest thing about Steve & Barry's is they cater to everyday people. I won't say that my line will be like theirs, I want to stay true to who I am, but most importantly it has to be affordable."
Ciara in Concert
Dubbed the "First Lady of Crunk & B" by the producer who should know, Lil Jon, singer Ciara burst onto the scene with the never-gonna-get-it single "Goodies," the breathy "answer song" to Petey Pablo's "Freek-a-Leek." She was born in Austin, TX, but with her father in the Army, Ciara spent time living in Germany, New York, California, Arizona, and Nevada before landing in Atlanta

Singer and actress Ciara Takes a Squat on Vibe Magazine
Ciara is on the cover of the new Vibe magazine.is baring it all for her career. The artist once known as "the Princess Of Crunk 'n'B" is making it clear that she's all grown up with a nude pose on the cover of the October issue of Vibe, which also features a photo spread of the stripped-down singer inside.
Ciara is promoting the upcoming release of her ambitious three-part album Fantasy Ride, which still awaits an official release date.
She's previewing the album with the new single "Go Girl" featuring T-Pain
The singer and actress recently starred in Mama I Want To Sing, which will go direct to DVD in 2009, and recently signed a modeling contract with top agency Wilhelmina.
The artist has always had her eye on a diversified career. Recently she explained: "One thing that I always say with my career, and one I think that everybody should really believe in, is that the sky's the limit. I am definitely a big believer of that because of what I'm doing now. But totally I believe that I'm gonna do television and so much more. And one of my business mentors -- or two of them -- is Oprah and P. Diddy. And the person that I want to become is Poprah. So those are those two names together. That is my goal."
Ciara brings new attitude to "musical journey
It was a scalding summer day in Los Angeles as some of the music industry's most distinguished urban artists made their way to the Shrine Auditorium for the 2008 BET Awards. This year's bill featured all the heavy hitters: Usher, Lil Wayne, Alicia Keys and T-Pain assisted by DJ Khaled, Ludacris and Rick Ross.
But what drove the audience wild was Chris Brown's set with Ciara. For a performance of Brown's "Take You Down," she ditched her traditional oversized sweat pants and bedazzled sports bra in favor of a black, skin-tight dominatrix-style cat-suit, thigh-high black stiletto boots and a black wig. The performance's steamy choreography ended with Brown and Ciara seductively staring at each other as the crowd gave them a standing ovation.
The message couldn't be more clear: Ciara is no longer the teen princess of crunk & B (a blend of crunk, a drum-machine-heavy style of hip-hop, and rhythm and blues). Now 23 and with two platinum records under her belt, she's reinventing her career, beginning with "Fantasy Ride," a conceptual album due in the fourth quarter via LaFace/Zomba, as well as a modeling contract and movie roles.
The album features three distinct musical styles, tentatively called "Groove City," full of sensual songs; "Crunk Town," with Atlanta-based crunk music similar to her introductory single, "Goodies"; and "Kingdom of Dance," with uptempo, house-leaning, freestyle-tinged cuts.
Akon, Lil Jon, the-Dream and Ludacris make guest appearances. Ne-Yo, T-Pain and Frankie Storm (from Rihanna's "Don't Stop the Music") are contributing writers.
